Unlike standard residential leases, which are subject to the Law of July 6, 1989, seasonal rentals are governed only by the French Civil Code (Article 1713 et seq.). The duration, price, and terms of the contract are therefore determined freely.
Article 1: This seasonal rental contract is reserved for the exclusive use of renting accommodations at Les Cottages / furnished tourist accommodations.
Article 2 – duration of stay: The tenant signing this contract, concluded for a fixed term, may under no circumstances claim any right to remain in the premises at the end of the stay. Arrival at Domaine Le Plessis Gallu on Saturday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM – Departure on Saturday at 11:00 AM.
Article 3 – conclusion of the contract: The booking becomes effective as soon as the tenant has sent the lessor 100% of the rental amount, (by credit card payment during booking on the website www.domaineplessisgallu.fr, by check, by bank transfer), along with a copy of an ID and a dated and signed copy of the rental contract, within 5 days of the booking. Beyond these 5 days, the booking becomes void.
A second copy is to be kept by the tenant. The rental concluded between the parties to this document cannot under any circumstances benefit, even partially, third parties, natural or legal persons, except with the written consent of the owner. Any breach of this last paragraph would be likely to result in the immediate termination of the rental at the tenant’s fault, with the proceeds of the rental remaining definitively acquired by the owner.
Article 4 – absence of right of withdrawal: For bookings made by mail, telephone, or internet, the tenant does not benefit from the withdrawal period, in accordance with Article L121-20-4 of the French Consumer Code relating in particular to the provision of accommodation services supplied on a specific date or at specific intervals.
Article 5 – cancellation by the tenant: Any cancellation must be notified by registered letter to the owner.
a) cancellation before arrival at the premises:
b) if the stay is cut short, the rental price remains acquired by the owner. No refund will be issued.
Article 6 – cancellation by the owner: The owner shall reimburse the tenant in full for the sums paid, as well as an indemnity at least equal to that which the tenant would have borne if the cancellation had been caused by them at that date.
Article 7 – arrival: The tenant must show up on the specified day and at the time mentioned on this contract. Actual arrival on Saturday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM to carry out the inventory of fixtures. In case of late or delayed arrival, the tenant must notify the owner.
Article 8- security deposit payment: the amount of the security deposit (€1500 / gite) is paid upon entry into the premises, by check, during the inventory of fixtures.
Article 9 – inventory of fixtures: An inventory is drawn up jointly and signed by the tenant and the owner or their representative upon arrival and upon departure from the cottage. This inventory constitutes the sole reference in the event of a dispute concerning the state of the premises. The state of cleanliness of the gîte upon the tenant’s arrival must be noted in the inventory of fixtures. The cleaning of the premises is included in the rental rate.
Article 9 -1 – Additional cleaning hour: The amount of the cleaning fees requested at the time of booking, by the client, in addition during the stay by the tenant, is established on the calculation basis mentioned in the descriptive sheet, to be paid during the departure inventory of fixtures.

Article 10 — security deposit: Upon the tenant’s arrival, a security deposit, the amount of which is indicated (€1500 / cottage) on the front of this contract, is requested by the owner. After the joint establishment of the exit inventory of fixtures, this deposit is returned, less the cost of restoring the premises if any damage is noted. In the event of an early departure (prior to the time mentioned on this contract) preventing the establishment of the inventory of fixtures on the very day of the tenant’s departure, the security deposit is returned by the owner within a period not exceeding one week.
Article 11 — use of the premises: The tenant must ensure the peaceful nature of the rental and make use of it in accordance with the destination of the premises.
Article 12 — capacity: This contract is established for a maximum capacity of 2 or 4 people, including children. Capacity is indicated on the booking and website. Any modification or termination of the contract will be considered to be on the client’s initiative.
Article 13 — welcoming pets: This contract specifies whether or not the tenant may stay in the company of a pet. In the event of non-compliance with this clause, the owner may refuse the stay: no refund will then be made. When booking, the client is required to indicate the number of pets that will accompany them. If applicable, the descriptive sheet specifies any additional rate supplements to be expected (pet rate, security deposit supplement, cleaning package supplement, etc.). Specific stay conditions for pets may be specified by the owner in the internal rules posted in the accommodation. €15 / day for small dogs under 3 kg.
